Schwinn bike XST 24 speed good road bike?
My CCM died after 6 years of use and I was never happy with it but it did the job. I had a lot of issues with gear changing and the brakes were always crapping out and being repaired. So I'm looking for a new bike for this summer while a lot of the bike sales are on now.
I saw a women's 17" Schwiin XST 24 speed for $299.99 today. Its a nice light weight aluminium frame, with 700C tires. Would this be a good commute bike? I only ride it in town so the max beating it gets is the occasional curb hopping ,gravel, hills ect. Most of my riding is done on the road on pavement as I ride to work everyday when the weather is decent. Off roading is not something I do. I just wanted to know if this would be an appropriate bike for my needs.
